Meet the Team – Alexandra Epps
Alexandra Epps joined Organizing Maniacs in 2011.
Alexandra is an animal enthusiast who has rescued many pets. Most recently she rescued a pet Starling named Harold. Even though he often starts his chirping at 5am, she appreciates that he keeps her on her toes.
Alexandra understands that many clients may suffer from self-judgment when they recognize their clutter. It is with this in mind that she uses a mindful approach to organizing. Alexandra encourages her clients to work through these challenges with compassion. It is her belief that the key to organizing involves the practice of recognition, acceptance, and listening with kindness to ourselves.
A native New Yorker, Alexandra has lived on both US coasts. While living in Los Angeles, Alexandra put her natural understanding of aesthetics to work in interiors, design, styling, and photography and quickly realized there was a close relationship between design and organizing.
Alexandra approaches her work with an open mind and a calm demeanor. Her personal dedication to mindful awareness encompasses the motivation of others to find comfort with who and where they are, in their journey of self-improvement and organization. She strives to provide each of her clients with honest suggestions, a sense of respect, and a space to find their own voice. Alexandra truly enjoys helping people on their paths towards a more organized, mindful and productive life style.
Alexandra is currently pursuing a degree in Cultural Studies the State University of New York in Albany. Alexandra is a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), is an active participant in the local NAPO-WDC MARCPO annual conference, and is currently working towards her certification as a Professional Organizer.
