Get Organized for the New Year

Get Organized for the New Year

Every January,  many of us wrestle with goals for the new year, and by this time of the month, we’ve often already given up on our resolutions. From losing weight to spending more time with the kids, we want to do better.  So how can you get organized for the new year, starting right now in January?

We’ve rounded up our best advice to help you get started!

Start with knowing what getting organized means to you.

Start small

Starting with small projects, like organizing a drawer or a closet, can motivate you to keep going. Set your eyes on a small project that you’re confident you can accomplish, like a bedroom closet or junk drawer, or your bed side table. Maybe there’s a chair (the one with laundry piled to the ceiling) that needs to be cleaned off so that you can reclaim your reading corner. Decide on a single small project, and start!

We have a number of small projects you can start with:

Recognize the benefits you experience when you organize.

Even a small success in organizing your life can have a big impact. Not only does it increase the happiness you feel and reduce stress,  but it can make you more productive, too.

What’s your goal for the New Year?
